Day 1

Moshi Rongai Gate - Simba Camp

The expedition officially kicks off with a drive to the Rongai Gate. As we ascend, the landscape transitions from lush rainforests to heath and moorland. The Simba Camp, our first stop, offers panoramic views of Kilimanjaro's southern plains. The temperature drops, and at an altitude of approximately 2,600 meters, the air becomes crisper.

Day 2

Simba Camp - Second Cave

Heading through the moorland, we reach the Second Cave. The vegetation thins, and the air becomes thinner as we gain altitude. At around 3,450 meters, the landscape opens up, revealing the stark beauty of the high-altitude terrain.

Day 3

Second Cave– Kikelewa Cave

Continuing our ascent, we traverse the lunar-like landscape, arriving at Kikelewa Cave. The altitude now exceeds 3,600 meters, and the temperature drops further. Unique alpine flora adorns the rocky terrain, creating an otherworldly atmosphere.

Day 4

Kikelewa Cave - Mawenzi Tarn

Ascending through the Alpine Desert, we reach Mawenzi Tarn. Nestled at an altitude of approximately 4,300 meters, the surrounding peaks and glaciers create a breathtaking backdrop. Temperatures plunge, and the landscape transforms into a rugged alpine paradise.

Day 5

Mawenzi Tarn– Kibo Hut Uhuru Peak - Horombo Hut

The most challenging day awaits as we ascend to the summit via Kibo Hut. The culmination at Uhuru Peak, standing at an awe-inspiring 5,895 meters, offers unparalleled vistas. Descending to Horombo Hut, we witness the changing flora, descending through moorland and heath.

Day 6

Kibo Hut Uhuru Peak - Back to Horombo Hut

The summit achievement is savored as we retrace our steps back to Horombo Hut. Descending through diverse landscapes, the temperature fluctuates, and the vegetation gradually shifts. The day culminates with a sense of accomplishment and panoramic views.

Day 7

Horombo Hut - Mandara Hut - Marangu Gate - Back to Moshi/Arusha

Our descent continues, passing through Mandara Hut to the Marangu Gate. The descent provides unique perspectives, and at lower altitudes, the temperature rises. Returning to Moshi or Arusha, the journey concludes with a celebration of conquering Kilimanjaro.
